An outdoor KITCHEN for CARLOS AND SONIA

My clients and friends wanted to add an outdoor kitchen to their longtime family home, driven by Carlos's love of grilling and paellas. The approach was simple and subtle: whatever we built had to look as if it had always been there, as if it were a natural part of the house from the very beginning, because the house is beautiful and radiates the warmth of home.

That's why the new kitchen's material palette matches the original house; the flooring extends in the same stone used outside, and the bar with the grills opens fluidly toward the dining room and garden.

Carlos's seventieth birthday was the occasion to inaugurate this kitchen with a big family asado... In the end, architecture also serves as an excuse for what truly matters: celebrating life.
